The development company acquired the property unentitled in December 2002 and obtained tentative tract maps for 1,052 lots. Lot and product types range from low density single family homes to detached cluster homes and attached triplexes. Upon completion, the project will be a gateway to the City of Palm Desert. The residential lots of University Park were sold in 2005 and is part of a larger master planned community which will offer life style retail commercial, office commercial, a hotel and mixed use.
