Plaza La Reina
Plaza La Reina was constructed as a conference center hotel and office complex on 23.34 acres at the Los Angeles International Airport. The Sheraton and two adjacent mid-rise office buildings were developed in two phases in 1980 and 1986 on a speculative basis. The hotel consisted of 807 rooms in approximately 660,000 square feet on 5.71 acres of land. The two mid-rise office towers totaled approximately 474,000 square feet on 3.21 acres of land. The remaining 14.42 acres of land located on West 198th street was used for airport parking. The property was sold to MetLife, and since resold to multiple institutional investors. The hotel is currently known as the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel.
