Golden City was acquired in September 2013 and is located adjacent to Loma Linda University Medical Center, immediately east of Interstate 215, within the City of Murrieta, CA. The project consists of five residential neighborhoods, an 11-acre active park and recreation center, walking trails, and over 34-acres of open space. The recreation center is city owned and maintained and contains a multi-purpose room, kitchen, storage and restrooms. The first two planning areas were developed by DR Horton, with homes sizes that ranged from approximately 2,200 to 3,800 square feet and were priced from the upper $300Ks to the high $400Ks. The remaining three planning areas have been sold to RSI Communities and DR Horton with vertical construction anticipated to commence in mid 2017.
